Brand new car, Brand new season
Bryan Mann and the Performance Wholesale Motorsport team piloting a new Eagle Chassis travelled
north to Mackay for the two-night September Sprintcar Spectacular.
On night one, the all new 2010 Eagle Chassis was to Bryan's liking as he was quickest in hot laps and qualified 2nd behind another new Eagle customer and Top Gun, Robbie Farr.
With crew chief Drew Gessner working hard to stay ahead of the new combination, the pace continued in heat racing with Bryan advancing from 8th to 2nd place in heat one. A DNF in heat two was made sweeter with a win in heat three from the back passing the likes of Muir, Hodges and Reidy for the checkered flag.
The 20 lap feature was the culmination of a great nights racing with Bryan running in third place before settling for fourth behind Farr, Lack and Dumesny.
With Night two, the performances continued with Bryan driving well in the heats and maintaining his position in the dash to start fourth in the 30 lap A-main, with new 2010 Eagle customers Reidy, Farr and Mann filling three of the top four grid positions.
After being sent to the rear with Max Dumesney, for an early racing incident, Bryan set about cutting his way through the field on a slick one lane track to ultimately finish 10th after battling Peter Lack and Max Dumesney with the trio thrilling the fans with their charges around the high line.
Bryan and Drew were very happy with the weekend's results with the new Eagle Race car and look forward to a successful season.
