The Performance Wholesale Motorsport team - headed by driver Bryan Mann and Crew Chief Drew Gessner - completed their annual Western Swing schedule recently with events at a number of racing venues in Western Australia, the swing culminating in a seventh place finish in the Krikke Boys race at Bunbury City Raceway last weekend.

There's a lot of big races on the Australian Sprintcar calendar, some are stand-alone events like the Grand Annual Classic and the Australian Sprintcar Open while others form part of a Championship chase. However, THE race that matters most is the one that puts the "Number 1" on the tail tank of a deserving winner, the Australian Sprintcar Title. For Bryan Mann and the Performance Wholesale Motorsport team, their preparations are now complete and they are ready for THAT race at Premier Speedway in Warrnambool starting this Friday night January 28.

After an arduous week on the road for the annual Speedweek portion of the World Series Sprintcars Championship, Bryan Mann and the Performance Wholesale Motorsport team have returned home to Qld to prepare for this week's Capalaba Wreckers Sprintcar Cup and Titan Garages Australian Sprintcar Open events at Brisbane International Speedway.

A rainout the previous night and a threatening sky on Sunday, could not dampen the enthusiasm of Bryan and Performance Wholesale Motorsport team for the re-run of the fourth round in Latrobe. Another solid qualifying effort netted an 11.4sec lap to place Bryan between fellow series contracted drivers and Eagle pilots Robbie Farr and Danny Reidy.

After fourteen Rounds of racing action around the nation, Bryan Mann closed out his 2009/10 Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcars Championship campaign with a ninth place finish in last Saturday night's Series Finale at the Perth Motorplex, earning himself enough points to hold on to eighth place in the final Drivers Championship standings.

There wouldn't be race team in existence that has never experienced a tough run at some point and it's a sign of a team's strength as to how they persevere when down on their luck and manage to turn their fortunes around. Bryan Mann and the Performance Wholesale Motorsport team are no exception and after some disappointing results at the Kings Challenge and the Grand Annual Classic, they got themselves back on track on Australia Day at Premier Speedway in Warrnambool.
