The Life Of Bryan – Title Disappointment For Bryan Mann

MondayJune 8, 2009. PWM Media
Bryan Mann and his Performance Wholesale / Capalaba Wreckers / Queensland Speedway Spares team returned to Maryborough Speedway last night for the final night of competition in the 2009 Queensland Sprintcar Title, and, indeed the last night of Sprintcar competition for the 2008-2009 race season. They entered the night third on points and by the time the A-Main rolled onto the track, Bryan had earned pole position for the start of the Title race. Unfortunately for Bryan and the crew, things didn’t go as planned in the 35-lap A-Main and he spent the last dozen laps sitting on the infield.

Bryan Mann was just a toddler when the Queensland Sprintcar Title was last held at Maryborough Speedway back in March of 1976, but having won the last Sprintcars Queensland event held at the venue on 21 March 2009, Bryan and his Performance Wholesale / Capalaba Wreckers / Queensland Speedway Spares team headed into last nights opening night of the 2009 Queensland Sprintcar Title with high hopes of some strong results. Despite some engine dramas in the Preliminary feature event, Bryan sits on third on points heading into tonights final night of competition.

Unfortunately, a strong start to the night came to a disappointing end 13 laps into the A-Main event, when Bryan crashed heavily in the turn one wall. He was running third at the time.

The Life Of Bryan – So Close At Bis

SundayMay 17, 2009. PWM Media
Bryan Mann and his Performance Wholesale / Capalaba Wreckers / Queensland Speedway Spares team ventured back to Brisbane International Speedway, determined to turn their luck around. Last weekend’s disappointment faded fast as the team put together a series of breath-taking consistent runs during last night’s program, which saw Bryan take the lead in the A-Main event. Bryan had a commanding lead, but race stoppages and lapped traffic played their part and Bryan slipped to second by the time the chequered flag was in the air.

Toowoomba’s Charlton Raceway was kinder to Bryan Mann and his Performance Wholesale / Queensland Speedway Spares / Capalaba Wreckers team than Brisbane International Speedway was on Saturday night. While the team would have liked a better result at the conclusion on last night’s racing, they were far from disappointed with the way things panned out. Bryan finished 11th in the night’s 30-lap non-stop A-Main event, and was officially 10th overall for Woodstock Bourbon sponsored Twin City Easter Challenge weekend.
